LAD® - Slurry Knife Gate Valve
The LAD Slurry Knife Gate Valve operates by manual, electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic methods to control the opening and closing of the valve. As the valve plate opens, symmetric elastic rubber rings are squeezed together under high pressure until they seal, creating a valve pressure channel that provides an unobstructed flow path and protects metal components from wear during fluid flow. As the valve plate slides, gaps are created between the previously adjacent rubber rings, allowing any medium that could block the valve to escape. When the valve is closed, the rubber rings press against the knife gate, forming a sealed condition that isolates upstream and downstream.
This type of valve meets various standards for wear, corrosion, temperature, and pressure. It can handle slurries or dry materials, and it can easily handle large quantities of heavy particles and mixtures. Metal components do not come into contact with the slurry, effectively extending their service life. Using bubble sealing technology and equipped with a dynamically adaptive secondary seal, it can prevent leakage risks downstream. In addition, maintenance is cost-effective as it only requires the replacement of rubber rings. Applications include mining, power, steel and metals, chemicals, cement, silica sand, pulp and paper, phosphate, and more.
